WAYNE WALLACE

If you work in collections in Jamaica, you already know the job is harder than most people on the outside appreciate. You are not just chasing payments — you are managing relationships under pressure, navigating legal requirements that have real consequences, handling debtors who avoid, argue, or disappear, and doing all of it while meeting targets and keeping your institution protected. That takes real skill. And yet, most of the training available to you was built for someone else — someone in a different country, working under a different legal system, dealing with a different kind of borrower.

That is exactly why the CDS Debt Collectors Training Institute was built. I have worked in and around the Jamaican financial sector, and I have seen firsthand what happens when collections professionals are left to figure things out on their own — inconsistent processes, missed legal steps, unnecessary write-offs, and staff who are good at the job but have no credential to show for it. This program is my answer to that gap.

What you will get here is structured, practical, and Jamaican. We start with the fundamentals — what delinquency actually is, how to manage it across a portfolio, and the role of the delinquency officer — and we build from there. Telephone strategies. The full collections process. Negotiation techniques that work with real debtors, not textbook ones. The legal documents you need, how repossession of chattels works under Jamaican law, and how to perform skip tracing when a borrower goes off the grid. Every module is designed to be used, not just studied.

I also want to be honest with you about something. Experience matters in this field — and if you have been doing this work for years, I respect that. This program is not here to talk down to you or tell you everything you know is wrong. It is here to give you the framework, the language, and the legal grounding that turns solid experience into professional excellence. The collectors who complete this training do not just feel more confident — they work more consistently, escalate more accurately, and carry a credential that speaks to their commitment to the profession.

If you are ready to stop operating without a structured foundation and start working as the professional you already are — or are becoming — then this is the program for you. I am glad you found it, and I look forward to working with you inside.
